I finally got the laundry done! Fred, who usually never bothers with those
type of mundane tasks started nagging me daily as he watched the mound of dirty
clothing grow ever higher by the day.
“When are you going to do the laundry?” was his refrain. When we started this lifestyle we made a
pact that he would do outdoor chores such as setting up, maintenance on the
truck and trailer and I would deal with anything inside the trailer such as
cooking, cleaning and laundry. Does
this sound familiar ladies?
Who has time for chores?
We have bicycled to the beach, an 8 mile
round trip, we have played shuffleboard, I have attended water aerobics in the
pool, soaked in the hot tub, played Chase the Ace and Trivial Pursuit. I have also tried to learn line dancing and
realized that my body seems to like doing its own thing. I start off at the front of the room near
the instructor but quickly find myself bumping into others behind me. I figure it is because I have bigger feet than
they do so I take bigger steps, right?
Clogging lessons also did not go so well as my feet also have a mind of
their own. I never did like anything
regimented and how it shows. I feel
rather silly when every dancer in the room has done a 180 and I am still facing
the front of the room. With a sheepish
grin I clog on. No one is going to call
me a quitter. Another night an
instructor was teaching ballroom dancing and as Fred was playing poker as he
does almost every night, I did the jitterbug with the instructor. Oh, what fun! Except that Fred and I have always call it jiving. Last night we attended a spaghetti dinner
dance in the activities center and after dinner, to the amusement of our
tablemates, Fred and I did the jitterbug.
Oh, what fun!
I wrote this when we were RVing full time and spending all winter in Florida.
